The History of Peri-Peri: Many centuries ago, the people who lived along the south-eastern coast of Africa very kindly introduced a precious commodity to the bold Portuguese explorers who rounded The Cape of Good Hope. A little chilli called Peri-Peri. It quickly became and important part of their culinary tradition. The magical ingredient not only added excitement to so many of their recipes, it also warmed their souls.
Peri-Peri is an especially fiery little African Chilli that evokes a level of passion that is inversely proportionate to its size. Possibly the world’s smallest chilli, it generates the world’s warmest reaction and is the famous ingredient that has made Nando’s so successful across the world.
