  • Dietary Information: It is naturally low in fat, non-GMO verified, and suitable for vegan and vegetarian diets. It also has a low glycemic index, which helps you feel fuller for longer.
  • Packaging: Barilla uses a 100% recyclable cardboard box for packaging.
  • Pairing Suggestions: It pairs perfectly with tomato, oil, and basil sauces, or more complex recipes like Puttanesca (olives, capers, anchovies, and tomatoes) or seafood dishes.

Cooking Instructions
The manufacturer recommends a specific method and time to achieve the ideal texture.
  1. Boil Water: Bring a large pot of water to a fast, rolling boil. Use approximately 1 liter of water for every 100g of pasta.
  2. Add Salt: Add about 7g (approx. 1 tablespoon) of salt to the boiling water.
  3. Add Pasta: Add the Barilla Spaghetti n.5 to the pot, stirring occasionally to ensure the strands cook evenly and do not stick together.
  4. Cook for Recommended Time: Cook for the time indicated on the package.
    • Al Dente9 minutes.
    • Softer Pasta: Cook for 1 more minute.
  5. Drain: Drain well and serve immediately with your favorite sauce. Do not rinse the pasta, as the starch helps the sauce adhere better.
    • Tip: Reserve a small amount of the starchy pasta water to add to your sauce for better consistency and to help the sauce bind to the spaghetti.
